Hi guys!! Long time, no write. Sorry about that. This month has been a bugger, but I’m back and no worse for wear. I picked up some pretty fun things that are new to the makeup world. Here is the haul so you can take a peek:)
So, what did you pick up last month? Do tell!!!
Maybelline’s new color tattoos have landed. The new collection is matte and is dubbed “Leather Color Tattoos”. They are releasing these as part of their Fall 2014 collection.
They come in 5 colors including Chocolate Suede, Dramatic Black, Vintage Plum, Deep Forest and Creamy Beige.
Im not sure as to whether or not these will be part of the permanent Maybelline Color Tattoo line. There is no indication on the packaging to make one think that these are limited edition items so hopefully they are part of the permanent line!! You can get them now here.
I’m always excited every season to see what Tarte releases. This Fall they have called their collection “Rainforest After Dark”. Oh my goodness, the packaging is so cute, except I wish they had used a monkey or something instead of a snake. I don’t like snakes.
Oh I am so excited!! Too Faced, one of my favorite brands, is on HauteLook today. Its a 50% discount off their regular items. They have some of their La Creme lipsticks on there along with a bunch of other goodies. You can check out the sale using this link: http://bit.ly/1m5ItlB . So, are you getting anything? Let me know! I’m nosy!!
Oh, I do love myself some lipstick! I wanted to share with you a lipstick I’ve had for a while that I think is perfect for summer. Enter Lipstick Queen’s Midevil Lipstick.
Scandalous packaging….no??? LOL I get my jollies where I can and for some reason this just strikes me funny. The box in “unique” let say!
Can you believe that we are half way through 2014? I can’t, its totally unbelievable to me. I already dread Fall. Speaking of Fall, I saw a Maybelline Fall 2013 display today at Rite Aid. That’s right, you heard me! I said 2013. That’s a “What the Heck” for ya!
On to my June 2014 Monthly Favorites and What the Hecks??!!!,
I’ve heard so much about the Jordana Fabuliners that I decided to pick one up and give it a try. I already had black liquid liners in my stash so I opted for the brown one. I would like to note that the Fabuliners are washable, not waterproof.
So you all know that I just discovered It Cosmetics. Apparently I have been living under a rock because I’m loving what I’m seeing!!! How could this brand have flown under my radar for so long????
I tried the It Cosmetics CC as a sample and immediately had to go get myself a full size version. I am an NC 20 in Mac and the “Light” shade of the It Cosmetics CC Cream was the perfect shade for me. The finish is gorgeous, the coverage is amazing and I’m in love.
It seems like everyone is stepping up their drugstore game for Spring 2014. Maybelline is no exception. I’ve ran into some displays at my local Meijer, Ulta and Rite Aid stores. Check it out!
Maybelline has released 6 shades of MasterGlaze cream blush sticks so far that I have seen. They are also releasing Master Hi-Light light boosting blushes and bronzers. I saw 4 blushes and 2 bronzers in the line.
New Color Show nail polish displays are appearing as well.
When I went to Rite Aid yesterday I found a new display from Covergirl. I then went to Ulta and they had it there too so its very likely that one of your drustores either has it or will be getting it in really soon!
They are offering 3 new types of goodies here, 2 of which I picked up. I picked up one of the concealer sticks and also the “TruMagic Skin Perfector”. They also have 2 cream luminizers. One is a gold and the other a bronze. I think the bronze one is more suited for deeper skin types than mine, the other one could probably be worn by most people. Of course, this is just a guess since I didn’t pick either one of them up, but I did use their testers (OMG thank you Covergirl for giving us testers, you are the bomb diggity dog!!) and those are my initial swatching thoughts.
Honestly, instead of my cheeks, my first thought upon swatching the gold highlighter (luminizer) was “I bet this would be really pretty layered over eyeshadow, right in the center of the eye for a pop of gold shimmer. I may end up going back and getting it. Shocking I know! LOL I have not had a chance to test the other two products yet.
So what are your thoughts? Are you excited about any of these? Have you seen this or any other Covergirl Spring 2014 display in your drugstores?
