L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer Review

I broke down and bought a new concealer, like I really needed another one, I know!  When I was in the drugstore I saw the new L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer and I  just had to try it.  My first thought was “that will go great in my purse makeup bag”.   See, it was a necessary purchase:)

They are running the colors in two skin tone divisions, neutral and warm each containing six shades of color.  I got Fair/Light W1-2-3 for my skin which, for reference, is a Mac NC 20.  I first got the Fair/Light N1-2-3,  but it was too pink and I had to exchange it.

The concealer is delivered in a cute jumbo crayon tube.  It twists up when you need more product.

L’Oreal claims that “the crayon offers customizable coverage from the tiniest of blemishes to larger areas of imperfections.  The tip of the crayon allows for precise application, while the side of the crayon can easily canvas a larger area of skin.  The innovative formula provides sheer to full coverage that blends easily and won’t look cakey”.

This is a creamy concealer that is easy to use.  I do not love it for the under-eye area as it can settle into fine lines. You may just have to check it periodically under the eyes to make sure it hasn’t migrated into lines. I really like it for discoloration and blemishes on the face though.   I would say this medium to full coverage concealer. It is buildable.  It is close to, but not quite, a matte finish.

As for the crayon tip allowing for precise application, it will at first, but eventually, if you cannot figure out a way to sharpen it, you are going to end up with a blunt, but still useable, tip.

Depending upon your skin type you can expect a five to eight hour wear as long as you set it with a finishing powder.  On my t-zone it stayed about 5 hours and other places it lasted close to 8.

These retail for around $9, depending upon where you purchase them.  You can get them here!
