Oh my goodness, can you believe it’s been almost a year since I launched this blog and my Youtube channel? Time certainly does fly when you are having fun!
You all have been such a blessing to me over this year. I have made so many friends and I truly appreciate the time you take to read this blog, watch my Youtube videos and chat with me on Facebook and Twitter. Choosing to spend time with me makes my day and I hope I have brought a smile into your as well!!
I wanted to do something really special for you guys so I thought and thought about what would be an awesome giveaway for such an awesome group of people. I decided to give some of my favorite things away.
I picked up two products from the Sephora + Pantone Color of the Year release. I got the lipstick in Tangerine Tango and the Color Of The Year Blush Duo. Given that the Color of the Year is tangerine, I decided to wait until the products were in the store so I could swatch them to make sure that they were, indeed, wearable on my fair skin. I was skeptical, to say the least, especially with the “universally flattering” lipstick.
I was very surprised when I put Tangerine Tango lipstick on my lips and it actually looked good! You could have knocked me over with a feather! To be sure, its a vibrant color and its going to stick out on everyone, but especially on someone with fair skin. I really like it!! I’m glad I was able to get one. Looks like I’ll be rocking some tangerine orange this summer!
The blush duo is just gorgeous, there is no other way to describe it. One color is a peachy coral and the other one is a coral orange. I’m in love. The official color names are are Coral and Dessert Flower. The packaging is very much like Inglot packaging in that it has a removable magnetic top, which I don’t mind, but it annoys some people.
The Color of the Year Creme Lipstick in Tangerine Tango is $18 and the Color of the Year Blush Duo is $28. You can get them, along with other Sephora + Pantone Color of the Year Products at sephora.com or any Sephora store for a limited time.
Did you pick any of the items up, let me know what you think about them!!
I finally decided to try out the Tarina Tarantino eye shadows. I picked up one of the new Eye Dream Highlighting Duos in Moon Opal and Iris Plume. I have to admit, I was impressed! They are really nice, soft and smooth eye shadows. They blend like a dream. I believe they have the ability to give fallout, but I tapped my brush off really well before I put them on my eye and I didn’t notice any fallout. If you don’t tap your brush off, I expect you will experience eye shadow in places you don’t want it. If you like any of their colors then definitely give them a try. I expect I will be purchasing more. I really liked this duo. I want to try their blushes as well. Let me know your thoughts on this line. If you haven’t tried it, do you plan on giving it a go? I’d love to hear from you!
