Mac Heavenly Creatures Haul

Ok, so here is what I got from Mac’s Heavenly Creatures collection for fall 2012.  This is their mineral collection.  I was a little disappointed with the eyeshadows except for Magnetic Attraction which will make it into my July favorites.  Did you pick anything up?  I’d love to hear:)

Mac Heavenly Creatures Haul and Swatches

Mac has launches their Fall 2012 mineral collection, Heavenly Creatures.  It seems a little early for fall collections, especially given the heat wave we have been under,  but alas, here it is.  Get ready for fall.

I picked up a few things from the collection including eyeshadows, a blush, a mineralized skin finish, lipstick and lipglasses.  Its a large collection so my haul was small when compared to the offerings.

I got four eyeshadows, but I was disappointed in two of them.  Sky, the blue shadow, fell a little flat in my opinion.  Also, Universal Appeal was a disappointment.  I was expecting more purple, but when swatched its just brown:(  That’s the problem with mineralized eyeshadows.  They look beautiful in the pan, but sometimes they don’t swatch well.    Magnetic Attraction is beautiful in the pan and swatched.  Aurora is a brown, but you can still pick up a hint of the peach undertones.  Its a pretty shadow as well, especially when used wet.

They are offering four Mineralized Skin Finishes. I picked up the one in Light Year.  Its a pretty peachy pink with gold micro glitter.  Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to it. For those of you who can use it, it is very pretty.  This one did accentuate  pores on my cheeks.

I picked up one of the blushes, Ring of Saturn.  Its a pretty red color that gives you a bit of a sunburned look.

I also picked up 2 lipsticks, Cut the Caper and Fire Sign.  Cut the Caper is a repromote.  Its an orangy coral.  It has a luster finish.

Fire Sign is a beautiful pinky red.  It has lustre finish.

To go with Cut the Caper lipstick, I picked up Meteoric Cremesheen Glass.  Its a pretty coral lipgloss with orange shimmer.  Like all Cremesheen Glasses, it is sticky.

I also picked up Galaxy Rose Cremesheen Glass to go with Fire Sign lipstick.  Its a beautiful pinky red.  It is sticky as well.

So that is it for my Mac Heavenly Creatures haul. Did you pick up anything?

Mac Heavenly Creature: What Did Christy Order?

Mac has done it again! They released another collection before the official release date. This time it is the Heavenly Creature collection, which is their mineralized collection for summer 2012.

Its a fairly large collection, to say the least. They have everything from Skinfinishes, blushes, eyeshadows, brushes, lipsticks, cremesheen glasses and skincare.

So what did I pick up from this collections?

Three mineralized eyeshadows in Sky, Universal Appeal and Aurora.
One mineralized skinfinish in Light Year
Two lipsticks in Fire Sign and Cut the Caper
Two Cremesheen Glass glosses in Meteoric and Galaxy Rose

I’ll do a youtube haul when these arrive and then a review just as soon as I get a chance to play with them.

Are you going to pick anything up and if so what are you going to get? I’d love to hear!!!!

Review: Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Powder

Hi guys.  Thanks for stopping by.  I had a request for a review on the Laura Mercier Pressed Powder Mineral Foundation.  It has a matte finish, as opposed to the Laura Mercier Loose Powder Mineral Foundation, which has more of a subtle glow to it.  They are both very pretty with buildable coverage.  The thing that sold me on the pressed, versus the loose powder was packaging.  Its easy to throw the pressed in my bag and go.  Its very travel friendly.  Both the loose and the pressed are lovely though.

Another thing that I like about this powder is that it doesn’t sting or itch my face.  For whatever reason, Bare Minerals irritates me to no end.  I can’t stand it and feel absolutely miserable due to the itching and stinging when I’m wearing it.  If you like the concept of mineral makeup, but  Bare Minerals irritates your skin, you might give the Laura Mercier a try.

Have you tried the pressed or loose powder?  If so, what was your experience with it?  I’d love to know.
