I was in Rite Aid the other day and what do I see on the shelf but Maybelline’s “On the Runway” release for fall 2013. There were three displays, one with lipglosses only, one with nail polish only and the other with nail polish, eyeshadow quads and lipsticks.
Butter London has released a new collection of six pastel nail polishes for Spring 2013. They are so pretty!! It was hard, but I just picked up one of them in the color Kerfuffle. Doesn’t that name make you want to laugh? I’m easily amused!
Have you seen the OPI Spiderman Nail laquers? There were two colors that I really, really wanted from the collection. They were “Into the Night” and “Your Web or Mine?”. I planned on picking both of these up at $8.50 a pop, but I found this mini set for around $12 at Ulta that had those two colors in it so I thought that was a deal!
“Into the Night” is a shimmery, almost navy blue with a purple undertone. Its really pretty. This one is my favorite of the bunch. It does apply sheer, though, so you will need 2 to 3 coats to build the color.
“Number One Nemesis” is a shimmery, metallic dirty green. The shimmer gives off a golden cast. Just like “Into the Night”, you will need two or 3 coats to build the color because it is very sheer. It is a lot like Chanel’s Graphite.
“Your Web or Mine” is a rosy pink with a frost finish. I was disappointed in this color:( It was streaky, even after 2 coats. Its such a shame because its such a pretty color.
“Just Spotted the Lizard” is a dirty green with gold duo chrome. It has sort of an antique feel about it. Personally, this is not a color that I gravitate toward. If you liked Chane’s Peridot, you will like this shade.
This is a limited edition shade for Summer 2012.
I purchased these items myself and as always, these are my own, honest opinions.
I’m loving Zoya’s nail polish in Kimber from their Surf collection. Its a little coral and a little red. It does have shimmer. Its just beautiful. Its supposed to be a close dupe to Nar’s Thakoon polish in Anardana.
