Physician’s Formula has introduced a new line of BB products for Spring of 2013. This post will review the Super BB Powder from that line. If you would like to see the review of their BB Cream you can read it here.
I must say I was so excited to see a “BB Powder”. I’ve never seen one before and I’m easily entertained. I like Physician’s Formula powders in general so I was super excited to give this a go!!
I was reading the Muse’s website ( http://www.musingsofamuse.com ) and ran across some really exciting news!! Benefit is launching new Ultra Plush Lipglosses in squeeze tubes to match their popular Box Blushes.
I love Benefit’s Boxed Blushes so I had to jump on the bandwagon and get some Ultra Plush Lipglosses! The Muse made that easy because she provided a wonderful coupon code allowing us to save $10 off a beauty order from HSN.com . The coupon code is 10off25beauty. You also get free shipping:) Thanks Muse!!
As far as I know, at this time, HSN is the only place you can get these products now, with the exception of Sephora. Sephora does not have the entire line, but their “deal of the week” is a trial size Dandelion Blush with a matching Dandelion lipgloss:) Yea!
I purchased the four piece lipgloss set from HSN along with the full sized Dallas lipgloss. The set includes Coralista, Dandelion, Bella Bomba and Sugar Bomb. These are not full sized products. The price for the set is $26.00, but with my $10 discount I only paid $16. The full sized Dallas gloss was $16. All of the glosses can be purchased separately for $16 each, including Coralista, Hoola, Dandelion, Bella Bomba, Dallas and Sugar Bomb. If you need the blush too, they have a great deal, get the blush and the full sized lipgloss for only $29.50. You can’t beat that!

Hi guys. Thanks for stopping by. I had a request for a review on the Laura Mercier Pressed Powder Mineral Foundation. It has a matte finish, as opposed to the Laura Mercier Loose Powder Mineral Foundation, which has more of a subtle glow to it. They are both very pretty with buildable coverage. The thing that sold me on the pressed, versus the loose powder was packaging. Its easy to throw the pressed in my bag and go. Its very travel friendly. Both the loose and the pressed are lovely though.
Another thing that I like about this powder is that it doesn’t sting or itch my face. For whatever reason, Bare Minerals irritates me to no end. I can’t stand it and feel absolutely miserable due to the itching and stinging when I’m wearing it. If you like the concept of mineral makeup, but Bare Minerals irritates your skin, you might give the Laura Mercier a try.
Have you tried the pressed or loose powder? If so, what was your experience with it? I’d love to know.
As always, I purchased these items myself and these are my own, honest opinions.
I picked up a few things from the Mac “Hey Sailor” collection. Initially, when I saw the collection, I decided to grab four items right off the bat, just to make sure that I didn’t miss out. I picked up the lipstick in To Catch a Sailor, the highlight powder in Crew, the eyeshadow in Barefoot and a Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder in Nude on Board. Later, when things were released at the counters, I went in and purchased the lipstick in Red Racer and also the lipglass in Blessedly Rich to put on top of the To Catch a Sailor lipstick that I had purchased online. They are so pretty together! So, did you pick anything up from the collection? I’d love to know what you got or what you are planning to get!
Physician’s Formula just released their new Youth Wear cosmeceutical youth boosting foundation, concealer and powder.
The foundation is good. It leaves a velvety look on your face, although I didn’t see any “youth boosting” or “wrinkle concealing”. It does sit pretty on the face though, making it a good basic foundation with medium coverage. The problem is that it only comes in three shades:( The concealer made me look older so I’m not a fan! The powder comes in matte or illuminating. I got the illuminating powder and it did add a pretty finish to my face.
I was in Las Vegas when the Chanel Las Vegas de Chanel collection launched. I first went to the Chanel counter at Barney’s New York in the Venitian and they had no idea what I was talking about, but sent me to the Chanel Boutique at the Wynn. By the time I hurried over there, there was only 2 powders and one lipstick left. Sheewwww, a near miss! I think I would have broken down and cried right there if I had gotten there and they had told me they just sold out!
Anyway, I picked up the Lucky Strikes Iridescent Powder for Eyes and Cheeks which is soooo gorgeous (and crazy expensive at $95). It is shades of sand and gold and you can use it as a highlighter on your face and eyes and also as an eyeshadow. It blends like a dream and looks amazing. I’m in love! See swatches below:)
I also picked up the Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in Brilliant. The name nails the way it looks. It is a sheer golden glaze and it is brilliant. I suggest that you use it over a lip liner or lipstick to give it a golden sheen. You could also use it on its own if you have pigmented lips, but I won’t be using it that way. Its very unique and I don’t have anything else like it in my collection. I like the Rouge Coco Shine formula. (see swatches below)
There was also a gold nail polish and a gold lip liner that I did not pick up. I can’t imagine using a gold lip liner and I didn’t find the nail polish to be especially unique, although it was very pretty.
The Exclusive Creation Las Vegas de Chanel products are available for a limited time at the Chanel boutiques at the Bellagio Hotel and Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas and also on chanel.com. You can call 1.800.550.0005 to check availability.
All items were purchased by me. I was not paid to mention or review these items.
