Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeshadow Pencils & Brush Review and Tutorial

I have been a fan of the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencils since they were released. I have several and they are all top notch quality. They come in 12 different shades from neutral to beautiful pops of color. My favorite is Morphine, which is what I would describe as an electric purple. I just love it!

These eyeshadow pencils are perfect for summer as they are waterproof.  They stay on until you take them off and the don’t crease. They make pretty looks on their own and also act as good bases for powdered shadows. I couldn’t ask for more!

When you put these things on you had better be ready to blend…quickly! You have about 1 minute to get the shadow where you want it because once its dry, its dry. There is no turning back, its there to stay. I have found that blending with my finger works fine for shadow that I am laying down on the lid and for minor blending with another color. I do prefer their 24/7 Shadow Pencil Blending Brush for more detailed looks with the pencils as it really does help blend them together. The brush retails for $16. It is domed shaped and stiff. It’s built using the same vegan materials as the Good Karma brush collection, with super-soft synthetic “hair” made from recycled plastic bottles. It also has a recycled aluminum handle.

So, have you tried these shadows and if not, do you think you will?

TUTORIAL: Maybelline Fierce & Tangy Color Tattoo

Hi guys.  Thanks for joining me today.  I got a request to do a makeup look with Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Fierce and Tangy.

Fierce and Tangy is a beautiful color, somewhere between a coral and an orange.  It looks pretty with a lot of shadows, including Mac’s Expensive Pink and also the dupe for Expensive Pink which is Wet and Wild’s Penny. It also looks really good with brown shadows.  I used a Revlon palette though, as you will see in the video.  I just wanted to let you know a couple of other colors that it would look good with:)

I hope you like this tutorial!   Thanks for watching!!!!

Review: Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Powder

Hi guys.  Thanks for stopping by.  I had a request for a review on the Laura Mercier Pressed Powder Mineral Foundation.  It has a matte finish, as opposed to the Laura Mercier Loose Powder Mineral Foundation, which has more of a subtle glow to it.  They are both very pretty with buildable coverage.  The thing that sold me on the pressed, versus the loose powder was packaging.  Its easy to throw the pressed in my bag and go.  Its very travel friendly.  Both the loose and the pressed are lovely though.

Another thing that I like about this powder is that it doesn’t sting or itch my face.  For whatever reason, Bare Minerals irritates me to no end.  I can’t stand it and feel absolutely miserable due to the itching and stinging when I’m wearing it.  If you like the concept of mineral makeup, but  Bare Minerals irritates your skin, you might give the Laura Mercier a try.

Have you tried the pressed or loose powder?  If so, what was your experience with it?  I’d love to know.

Chanel Ebloui Tutorial (Mirror for LisaLisaD1)

Hi guys. Thanks so much for visiting me today!! I’m so glad you’re here.

This is a tutorial using Chanel Ebloui, which is a cream eyeshadow. It is a reddened brown and one of my favorite all time eyeshadows!!!

Lisa of LisaLisaD1 on Youtube asked if she should pick up Ebloui while she was doing a tutorial on another Chanel cream shadow called Illusoire. This is a mirrored tutorial of Lisa’s technique using the Ebloui eyeshadow so she, and you, can see what it looks like in action:)

I hope you enjoy this tutorial.

Tutorial: The Golden Leprechaun – A Wearable Saint Patrick’s Day Eye Look

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day (one day early)!!!  Saint Patrick’s Day is very near and dear to me.  One Saint Patrick’s Day 12 years ago was one of the most special days in my life.  My nephew, who is my pride and joy, was born!! Showing his stubbornness he just barely made his appearance, and I mean withing a few minutes, on St. Patrick’s Day. What a blessing. I’m still crazy about my little monkey, even though he is in those moody pre-teen years.  LOL

I hope you enjoy this eye tutorial.  Its not over the top, but you can build the color if you want to make it that way. Let me know if you try it and what you think:)

Have a fantastic day!!
